Horse Clothing and Equipment Photos- page 2

Hi-  I have always wanted to order a pattern and I finally did. My mom made the hood and I absolutely love it. Thanks for offering these great products. The mini's name is Safari and he loved the hood too--he stood perfectly still, even though he probably never wore a hood in his life. Thanks again. Alexann

Saddle pads made using our new and updated Pattern 7158

Here’s the all-purpose square pad made using a cotton twill for the outer layer, a double thickness of an old mattress pad for the inner layer, and brushed cotton twill for the under layer:

I wanted the straps to match the pad, so I used a double layer of grosgrain ribbon.  The cute trim gives the pad some “pop”!

For this square dressage pad I used a double layer of double-faced prequilted cotton.  I found a stray piece of light blue faux fleece in my stash and decided to put it on the top of the pad, using the half pad shape.  I left off the billet straps:

Here’s a dressage half pad also made with a double layer of prequilted cotton, plus I used an old waterbed mattress pad for an extra layer in between.  (Obviously I never throw away a mattress pad!)  The underside is a thick faux fleece.  I eliminated the folded-back fleece on the front because the pad fit a particular saddle better without it.

This is a close contact faux fleece pad-  it’s been well used but still looks pretty good!

This trail pad was made using the old pattern-  the new version is a bit longer.  This pad has seen some miles on the trail:

We hope that you have fun using your own creative ideas to customize the perfect pad.
