Use suiting fabrics for suit pants and slightly stretchy fabrics for schooling jods. The vest is the final element of the classic saddle suit. This pattern includes front welt pockets (childrens sizes have mock pockets) and an adjustable back belt. Pattern includes both womens' and childrens' sizes.

Fleece vest, Riding Tights, & Riding Sweatpants Pattern

#2900: This fleece vest is a must for any rider's wardrobe! Hip length, longer in back for optimum coverage, with front zipper and pockets. Very easy to sew! Separate tights patterns are included for lighter-weight nylon and cotton-lycra fabric (such as used for aerobic wear) and for stretch Polartec. Options for the lighter-weight tights include knee patches, crotch padding, full seat reinforcement, and stirrups. The stretch Polartec tights have knee patches. The sweatpants, which are more fitted than regular sweatpants, are also really easy to make. Neither the tights nor the sweatpants have inseams for riding comfort. Make a complete schooling wardrobe no matter what your climate!

Womens & Girls Riding Shirts with Choker, Stock Tie, & Bibs Pattern

#3140: The riding shirt for hunt seat or dressage (sometimes called a "ratcatcher") can be made with long sleeves, cuffed short sleeves, or no sleeves. The basic shirt has a trim fit, long shirt tails, and a choker. The women's version has the options of a yoked back or a triple-pleated front. The women's long sleeves have buttoned plackets, the girl's sleeve binding. A regular stock tie and a pre-tied stock tie are also included, and can be made with or without bibs!

Sidesaddle apron, Driving apron, and Riding Skirt Pattern

#6500: This modern sidesaddle apron is worn over breeches, jodhpurs, or other riding pants. It is designed to fit over the rider's right knee and to hang correctly with a horizontal hem and no wrinkles. It is suitable for hunt seat, saddle seat, and western attire. The instructions include how to fit the apron and how to make a leather western apron. The driving apron is open in the back, with a top band. The ends of the top band fasten in the back with hook-and-loop tape. The riding skirt has a front panel which can be buttoned to one side to form culottes for riding or to the other side giving the appearance of a skirt. The back has a deep pleat to complete the skirt-like effect. The skirt also has side pockets.

Western Show Chaps Or English Schooling Chaps Pattern

#2600: Use this pattern to make chaps for the whole family. Western show chap options include fringe or scalloped sides, one or two concho back, and three different yoke/cuff lengths. English schooling chap is basic shotgun design with buckled back and two yoke options. Can be made from leather or Ultrasuede. Both children and adult sizes in ONE PATTERN. Fits upper thigh measurements of 13" to 27".

Adult Australian Coat, English Macintosh, and Western Duster Pattern

#5400: Be protected from the elements in or out of the saddle! This pattern actually has four coat versions: a simple � length rain slicker, the traditional caped Aussie coat, the even more traditional English macintosh, and the dashing western duster. The Aussie coat can be lined or unlined with adjustable sleeves and snap front. The fully lined English mac has zippered front and elastic storm cuffs. The slicker is unlined. All three have snapped back vents with saddle gussets, raglan sleeves, and snapped storm fronts. The western duster, traditionally made of cotton canvas, has corduroy accents, handwarmer pockets, and buckled side tabs. It snaps around legs for riding or up to a shorter length.

Helmet Covers & Half Chaps Pattern

#8526: This pattern includes three different helmet covers. The TRADITIONAL cover fits the older style caliente helmets. It has stitched and taped seams for durability, an elasticized back, and covered button or pompom on top. It also has a brim with enclosed stiffener. The STRETCH cover fits the newer, larger safety helmets. It requires stretch fabric and has an elasticized bottom. It is designed to fit a helmet that already has a brim. Both covers have ribbons ties in front. The WINTER cover is made of Polartec TM fleece fabric and has a neck wrap for extra warmth. This pattern also includes half chaps with inner leg reinforcements, Velcro tab closures, and elastic foot straps. It has seven different sizes.

#6800: his pattern contains an unlined shirt-jacket in children�s and adult sizes plus a matching hat for head sizes 20 ��-24 1/2� (measured around the top of the head at forehead level). The shirt-jacket has a snap front and snap pockets, a back expansion pleat, and a tie belt. The hat is custom fit to the wearer�s head with elastic.
